Update

So, the week started off kind of crappy with my air conditioning dying on me - it was HOT IN HERE......made me long for some Wilmington NC real estate so I could get away to a cooler place! It's fixed now, thankfully I was only without for less than a day....anything longer would have been brutal!
But, things have picked up around here - I scored some tix to the Rays game this weekend, so all is well again!

Random Rays

Yeah, I don't get over here much - I spend more time at my other blog. It's a lot of work keeping up with 2, one of them was bound to get negelected.

The Rays are coming off the All Star break with 2 wins, 1 more today and we sweep the Blue Jays. The ads in the paper are touting playoff tickets. People are jumping out of their crib bedding
and onto the Rays bandwagon!
Exciting times.

RX Control

I was reading an srticle in a magazine recently about the ADD / ADHD drug, Adderall, and how many of the Hollywood types are using it as a diet pill...! We don't have enough prescription abuse going on, what with Heath Ledger recently dying from accidental overdose and others - do they really have to resort to this? Pretending to have a disorder just to get a pill that is going to supress your appetite? Or worse yet, selling it to your cirle of friends? These things really should be monitired more closely - there has to be a better way to keep this stuff out of the wrong hands.

Old Friends

So my friend from up north was down for a visit a few weeks ago, it was so nice to see her and catch up. She moved 2 years ago, TEMPORARILY, to help her MOm out and try to convince her to hire some mover NYC and come down here. Friend still owns a house down here, and has a son down here....so a permanent move was really not in her plan. But, things change, her Mom is showing signs of Alzheimers - and she can't convince her to move down here and live with her - so she's still up there in the big city.....scares me how my friends and I are suddenly being thrust in as caregivers for our parents.

Hmmm...seems like June 30th was my last entry. Busy? Yes. Busy at work, busy at home, busy with Stepdad on the weekends, and busy watching my new HDtv! I can't tell you what a pleasure it is watching movies on it! Best investment I ever made!
