Oktoberfest

It is finally starting to feel like fall around here. The temp dropped a tad, so I have the windowns open. I took Niece to Scream Acres Friday night - it's a free local Halloween event in the park where they turn all the camping cabins into haunted houses.
Last night was Oktoberfest - where we drank beer and ate Brats until we couldn't hold any more! Our guys participated in the Stein Holding contest, and we also watched the Keg toss...(the big beefy guy with the grizzly adams beard won, just as we suspected!) Thankkfully, one of the big box electronics stores was there with a big screen TV so we could watch the Rays!

Stolen

The Rays lost a tough one last night in the last inning in a game that was delayed by rain. They had come back from being down 3 runs...and Philly snagged one from us. I hope we steal one back from them tonight!
Speaking of steal - Carl Crawford and BJ Upton stole bases last night, which means we ALL get to steal a taco from Taco Bell!! Details are at their website - your free taco from the base stolen in Game 1 is waiting for you on Tuesday, you can pick it up between 2-6pm!
I need to run up to Target and see if I can find an SD card.

Sit on it.

Our office is only a year old, but we are already in sad need of some new office chairs. I don't know what these people have been doing to break their chairs already! It looks like they play bumper chairs when they are there late at night!

Dishwasher

I need to find a wholesale electronics store and get myself a discount dishwasher! I hate paying for appliances, they are so expensive...but I have been talking about getting a new dishwasher for a while now, and the old one is certainly on it's last leg! I think I am going to have to check the Sears scratch & dent and see what they have at a reasonable price - and I hope it includes installation!

DOUBLE your savings!

Did you see that K Mart is having SUPER DOUBLE COUPON DAYS? Yeah, started yesterdaym and goes until this Sunday, all coupons up to $2 will be doubled, and NO internet coupons accepted.
Not sure if it is all across the US, but I had read about it on the internet, and then lo and behold, I got a flyer about it in my mailbox! YAY! I'll be heading over there this weekend to see if I can snag some serious bargains - I heard there were people with their carts so full of free and cheap goods, you would think they were a material handling expert to manage all of that in one cart!

History

The Rays are the tal of the town, seeing as how they are in the MLB playoffs for the first time in team history - 10 years if you are counting. I have a ticket to todays game, and I couldn't be happier! We are headed over there pretty early to get parking and also be a part of all the partying that will be going on outside the stadium. I wonder if there will be a game day giveaway? I hope it's something good, not one of those crank flashlight things!
