Super

The Super Bowl is here in Tampa this year. I am volunteering at the NFL Experience, which should be cool. I signed up months ago, just to be a part of the hubbub! There has been all kinds of press about all the new franchise opportunities that will be popping up to be a vendor at the game, or nearby they will have little mini malls set up selling all kinds of Super Bowl paraphanalia!

The Hottest Ticket in Town

And I got one!
I scored a ticket to watch our Rays in Game 1 of the American League Division Series!! Of course, we have secured our spot in the playoffs - first time in team history (our boys were taking their vitamins, not diet pills), but not the division title....YET.....and I have no idea who we will be playing, looks like either the Twins or the White Sox. Either way, I am excited at the opportunity to be a part of our teams history!

I have finally decided that it is time for a new dishwasher. The one I have was here when I moved in, and it did not work. I had a friend look at it, and he fixed it for me.....but it did not last. For the past few years I have just been washing by hand, because the dishwasher works, when it feels like it....but I have to keep an eye on it as it seems to collect water in the bottom - and the odor it puts off when it is running? EWW...smells like a stale puddle.
SO....I've been watching the ads, and scanning for coupons to ensure I get the best buy possible when I take the plunge into new appliance land!

The Dark Side

It has taken me just over a week, but I think I am finally back in my groove. Posting on both blogs has been sporadic at best, as I have just not been in the mood.
A LOT happened at home while I was away on vacation, things I had been trying to distance myself from, but I cannot seem to escape - and it took me some time, and much effort on my part, to get my mind right again. I am not one of those bloggers who puts it all out on the internet, you only get a mere glimpse of my life on these pages. Some things are meant to be private, my local friends/family who read know the deal - my apologies to the rest of you as you must remain in the dark.

I watched a few college games last weekend when I was out of town, and tomorrow I will be watching the Bucs take on the Saints in their season opener!

Update: Gators won, though it was a pretty tight game, and I was ready for them to do DNA testing to confirm that was actually MY Gators on the field!
Bucs lost as well.

Here and There

I'm back from vacation, you can read about it at my other blog. Helped some friends move, and they are now settling in their new home. I need to get them a housewarming gift...been toying with ideas for some time now...do I got with the HD gift card, or something personal like Votive candle holders? Not sure......
