Kitchens

I'm wondering that if, and when, I get my kitchen cabinets redone, should I go all out and get a new sink as well. Nothing wrong with the one I have, and I replaced the faucet with on of those fancy Price Pfister deals about a year ago, so nothing wrong with that either. When redoing a room, you tend to want to completely replace everything and start new while you are at it.

Not so free

Is it just me, or are the free samples few and far between lately? And when you do find one, they go viral and are gone in about 5 minutes! The days of free weekly shampoo, cereal, and anti wrinkle cream
in my mailbox are long gone. Another sign of the times.

Hated

One of my pet peeves is when the deliver the phone book. They just dump them at your doorstep whether you want one or not. Since I live in a condo complex, they dump them on EVERY doorstep - so the units that are empty have one sitting by the door until someone picks it up! Oh, and they put the phone book in a plstic bag as well! I assume this is so it does not get wet - but all of our doorways are COVERED! Yeesh! In the electronic world of the web directory, when are they going to stop killing trees to make phone books?

Green Day

I have to make my weekly trek to the recycling center today. I need to switch to a weekday for this, as it tends to get very busy on the weekends, and it is hard to get in and out of there. I am sure of someone did a local Green Study, they would find that more people are recycling and using their reusable bags at the store. I am not sure if this is a sign of the economic times, or because it is the latest trend - but I hope it continues!

Busy Days

I have a busy weekend planned. It's feast or famine around here lately with the weekend activities! Between Salon appointments, working on my car, house chores, and visiting Stepdad - I need to squeeze in some gym time - exercise: better than any ephedra supplement! I also have the 3 Day Expo tomorrow, the kick off event for the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk here in Tampa!!

Half off

I cannot believe summer is half over. Of course, in these parts - we are already looking forward to some cooler weather, which we will probably not see until November!! Actually, we are just now approaching our hottest months - it will get hotter than a courtroom full of Mesothelioma lawyers in September!!

A Real Card

Between Birthdays, Graduations, Getwell, and other assorted events in my circle - I have had to spend some serious money on gifts and cards these past few months! I've always entertained the thought of switching to electronic greeting cards online, but it seems so impersonal to me. I have always been the "card person" in my family - and even with my tree hugging efforts, I still send cards - I am just more careful to purchase recycled greetings now.

Orlando

Is anyone going to the convention in Orlando? The price includes your ticket to Sea World, Busch Gardens Howl O Scream - AND a pair of Crocs. Kind of a strange giveaway like Naot shoes, but I guess Crocs is a sponser, or someone from Crocs os speaking there - I have no idea. But , if you want some Crocs, tell me your size and you can have the ones I get! LOL!
